It’s supposed to be spring, but it’s 30 degrees and snowing today. The warm weather can’t come soon enough. Photo taken last summer at the beach down the road from my grandmother’s house on the east end of Long Island.

On Writing Negative Book Reviews

I posted a negative review of The Friday Night Knitting Club on Tuesday. It was a Bad Book. It was a waste of time to read. The characters were trite and the plot was cheap and cliché.

The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs

Guys. This book isn’t good. I’m admittedly not very familiar with the “chick-lit” genre, but I think The Friday Night Knitting Club falls neatly into it. I really wanted to like this novel, as the premise is innocent and sweet.

Winter Getaways: Costa Rica

I know it is getting a little late to talk about winter getaways. The weather is slowly warming and there will be some spring blooms (flowers, really!) sprouting up soon. But there was a snowstorm just last week and March and April have their fair share of gross weather.
